Bank Owned Property
Bank Owned Property has either already been foreclosed or the previous mortgagor of the property has deeded it back to the Bank using a "deed in lieu of foreclosure".
These property are often good buys, however, they are almost never in "move-in" condition. The amount of work required varies tremendously, some needing huge investments in things like a new roof. Those that have been foreclosed usually need the most work - all appliances are usually gone, and often times there has been malicious damage to the property. Those acquired through "deed in lieu of foreclosure" are usually in better condition, many times even having all the appliance.
Occasionally a bank will insist that a property not be marketed as "bank owned". In those rare cases, they won't show up on this list. But that's the exception to the what is typically occuring currently.
The following list will allow you to search for bank-owned property by location and type. Please be patient while these searches load - they take a bit longer than usual due to the complexity of the search.
