Have we reached the bottom?

The problem with this strategy is that one can never know when we've reached the bottom until we are past the bottom. So by definition, if you are waiting for the bottom to appear, you will surely miss it. A better strategy is to purchase when you find a home that you love at a price that you are comfortable with. And as always, real estate should be viewed as a long term strategy. If you see yourself having to sell in less than 3 or 4 years, you probably are better off not purchasing at all.
